11 Jul tessello next gen LMS on G-Cloud 10
Brightwave’s next gen LMS tessello has been selected for inclusion on the UK government’s G-Cloud 10 framework.
An initiative targeted at easing cloud-computing technology procurement in the public sector, the G-Cloud framework’s 10th iteration (G10) opened for applications earlier this year.
And tessello’s entry is now live.
Any public sector body from central government agencies to NHS trusts and local government authorities can use G10 to streamline their cloud computing tendering process.
In recent years cloud computing has caused significant changes in the delivery of information systems. In response the UK Government initiated the G-Cloud programme within their Digital Marketplace to deliver computing based capability via the cloud – from fundamental resources such as storage and processing to full-fledged applications.
A genuine success story for government procurement processes, G10’s transparent level playing field has brought the best next gen LMS technology and other software platforms into the public sector with billions of pounds in sales since 2012.
G10 in numbers:
- £3,127,840,529 total G-Cloud sales up to the end of March 2018 (excluding VAT!)
- 48% of total G10 sales have gone to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
- 83% of sales were through central government
- 17% of sales were through the wider public sector.
